We were on our way home. We had dropped everyone else off and he was driving, not recklessly but not in a manner that could be construed as safe, either. I had called shotgun this time, so I was sitting next to him. S was in the back, maybe half asleep, snoring in a quiet way. M had his iPod hooked up to the car radio and my favorite Radiohead...
